It never hurts to spend time with your clients in a sunny destination in March!

A couple years ago (2 years to the week) I photographed Melanie and Georges incredible wedding in the Dominican, which is where I first met Veronica and Darrell.

I was so honoured to be asked by them to join in the fun as they choose to celebrate their wedding at Sandals Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos.Their entire group of friends and family are just amazing people – very welcoming, fun and just a bit wild!  As this was the second destination wedding I was a part of with many of these fine folk – it was like a reunion, and I had an amazing time. We scuba dived, laughed and had a great many memories… (remember karaoke….)

When the wedding ceremony took place – there was some very touching moments of tenderness and honest love. I really enjoyed seeing these moments through my lens, and capturing them for Veronica and Darrell. After the ceremony we wandered the resort for a bit taking advantage of the great weather and awesome locations for some unbelievable imagery. I insisted we take some beach shots, both at sunset – and sunrise, and this fantastic couple obliged. I think it was worth getting up early for!

Thanks again to both of you, and your entire crew of family and friends. Thank you Mel and George for the referral (I look forward to photographing your baby bump – and your new little one when it happens.) Veronica and Darrell, you are a brilliant couple – and I wish a lifetime of great memories to you both.

    Much love,

  • Nicole Anhel - Ed, AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

I love shooting destination weddings, and recently had an incredible opportunity to shoot one in Hong Kong. I had worked with Vivian and Andy on their Calgary wedding, and when they invited me to join them for another celebration in Hong Kong – I was honoured and very excited. A visual overload for photographers, this city is as vibrant as they come. Color, culture, fashion and history…. awesome. My inner National Geographic photographer was happy too!

Enjoy the photos and slideshow and let me know your thoughts. Thanks again Vivian and Andy – hope you had as much fun as I did.

I had the honour of photographing my first wedding of the year with Nicole and Shaun! I had shot a friends wedding a few year’s back, and loved hanging out again with them while working with this very cool and laid back couple. Nicole and Shaun were married back in November on a destination wedding – and had a celebration reception for their family and friends at the Zoo. Even though they were already technically married – it was so much fun seeing them being playful and romantic throughout the day. Thanks again and congratulations to you both!

  • maria lang - love this couple! it was fun running into you at the wedding!!

I just spent a weekend photographing the performers at the Calgary International Salsa Congress held at the HYATT. A brilliant group of local and international artists performing and teaching workshops at this exciting annual event. Here is a quick selection of some of the artist and groups from the event. If you like programs like So You Think You Can Dance, then you really have to check this event out.

To get more information on this event check out the website HERE. David, Olga, Kelly and Eric do an amazing job bringing an international flavor to Calgary.
